Although there are no entry requirements outlined on training.gov.au, learners are required to meet the following minimum requirements: All learners with English as a second language (ESL) must demonstrate the English Proficiency equivalent to IELTS 5.0 or other English scores accepted by Department of Home Affairs (DHA) such as TOEFL ‘PBT’ 450, TOEFL ‘iBT’ 32; PTE Academic 30; Cambridge English Advance 36; OET ‘Pass’. Alternatively, learners can request to sit for Qii’s Internal Language, Literacy and Numeracy test and achieve the following results. This also applies to all domestic students:

Vocational placement: | Learners who are not employed in the early childhood sector (working with children) will be required to complete a minimum of 120 hours of work placement. Qii will assist students to secure a vocational placement and regular visits will be conducted by a Qii trainer/assessor. |

Course Description
This program aims to prepare students to develop knowledge and skills to work within the early childhood education settings. It is expected they use organisation policies, procedures and individual children’s profiles to plan activities and provide care to children. Depending on the setting, educators may work under direct supervision or autonomously.
